About Badr Wellness Collective

Our story, our purpose, and the values that guide everything we do.

The full moon — Badr
"Badr — the full moon. Complete, luminous, and always present on the darkest nights."
The Name — Badr

A name with meaning at its core

Badr is the Arabic word for full moon — the moon at its most complete, most luminous, and most present.

"The full moon does not generate its own light. It reflects light back to the world — quietly, consistently, and without asking anything in return."

On the darkest nights, it is the full moon that guides the way. We chose this name deliberately. The people we support do not need to be fixed. They are already whole. What they need is the right environment, the right people, and the right support — so that their own light can be seen.

The brain, like the moon, holds extraordinary complexity beneath a calm surface. It governs everything — how we feel, how we communicate, how we connect with the world around us. When the brain is supported well, when the conditions are right, people flourish.

That is what Badr Wellness Collective exists to create: the conditions for flourishing.

The full moon also marks a moment of clarity — when things that were hidden become visible. In our work, this means taking the time to truly understand each person. To look beyond the surface of a behaviour and ask what is really happening. To see the whole person, not just the presenting challenge.

Badr. Full presence. Full light. Full moon.

Our Introduction

A new collective — built with purpose

There are moments in a family's journey with disability when the path ahead feels unclear. When the system feels overwhelming. When you have sat through enough meetings and received enough reports — but still feel like no one has truly seen your person.

Badr Wellness Collective was created for those moments. We are a newly established Australian provider of specialist behaviour support and disability support services — built from the ground up with a single purpose: to provide the kind of support we would want for someone we love.

We operate across two connected practices: Badr Behaviour Support — delivering specialist Positive Behaviour Support services — and Badr Support Services — delivering direct NDIS support including in-home care, community participation, transport, and accommodation. Together, these form a collective unified by the same values and the same belief that every person deserves support genuinely built around them.

Badr Wellness Collective is newly established as a registered entity — but the expertise behind it is not new. Our founder brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in the disability and behaviour support sector, having worked directly with NDIS participants, families, and support teams across a range of complex settings. That decade of experience is the foundation on which this Collective has been built.

We established Badr Wellness Collective because we believe there is a better way to deliver these services — one that is more person-centred, more transparent, and more genuinely focused on participant quality of life. This is not a new idea to us. It is something we have been working toward throughout 10 years of practice. We are new as a business, and we will earn your trust through our work.

Vision & Mission

Why we exist and how we work

Our Vision

A community where every person — regardless of ability, background, or circumstance — lives with dignity, belonging, and the freedom to reach their full potential.

We envision an Australia where disability support is not just a service transaction, but a genuine partnership built on trust, expertise, and deep human respect. Where families feel truly supported. Where participants are seen as capable, valued individuals with rights, goals, and dreams — not diagnoses to be managed.

Badr Wellness Collective exists to be part of that future.

Our Mission

To deliver compassionate, evidence-based behaviour support and disability support services that place the participant at the centre of every decision — and that genuinely improve the quality of life of the people we serve, and the people who love them.

Listening before acting. We understand each person's unique story before developing any strategy.
Working as a team. We collaborate with participants, families, and all providers involved in a person's life.
Holding ourselves to the highest standard. Building our reputation through quality, not promises.
Never stopping at compliance. The required standard is the floor, not the ceiling.
Growing with purpose. We will only ever take on work we can do well.
Our Values

The principles that guide every decision

Our values are not a list on a wall. They are the standard against which every assessment, every plan, every shift, and every interaction is measured — without exception.

01
Dignity Above All

Every person we support deserves to be treated with unconditional respect — regardless of their disability, their behaviour, or the complexity of their needs. Dignity is not earned. It is inherent. It guides every interaction we have.

02
Genuine Partnership

We do not do things to people. We work alongside them. Participants, families, and carers are not passive recipients of a service — they are active partners in every assessment, every plan, and every decision that affects their lives.

03
Honesty and Transparency

We tell the truth — even when it is uncomfortable. We are honest about what we can offer, realistic about timelines, and transparent about our reasoning. Families deserve providers they can trust completely, and trust is built through honesty.

04
Evidence Over Assumption

Our practice is grounded in current behavioural science and clinical evidence. We do not make assumptions about why a behaviour occurs — we assess, observe, listen, and draw conclusions from what the evidence tells us. Then we act.

05
Least Restrictive Always

Where behaviours of concern are present, our starting point is always the least restrictive response possible. Restrictive practices are never a first resort — they are carefully authorised, closely monitored, and always paired with a clear plan to reduce and eliminate them.

06
Whole Person, Not Just Behaviour

Behaviour does not occur in a vacuum. It is shaped by environment, history, communication, sensory experience, and unmet needs. We look at the whole person — their life, their context, their strengths — before we ever consider a strategy or intervention.

07
Accountability Without Blame

When things do not go as planned, we do not look for someone to blame. We look for what we can learn and improve. We hold ourselves accountable — to our participants, to their families, and to each other.

08
Community and Inclusion

We believe in a world where people with disability are fully included in their communities — not just accommodated within them. Everything we do is oriented toward greater independence, greater participation, and greater belonging.

A word on who we are

Badr Wellness Collective is a new organisation. We are building our team, our reputation, and our relationships with genuine care and intent. If you are a participant, a family member, a Support Coordinator, or a fellow provider — we would love to connect. Not to sell you something, but to listen. To understand what you need. And to be honest with you about whether we are the right fit. That is how Badr begins.
